Day 58 – The weight of the grain
What’s on his mind? How heavy must his weight be? Life can’t always be sunflowers and blue skies…
Day 59 – Post Xmas Road Trip
Day #59 – Here is the last in my series of family portraits. The third shot of my mom. Who was riding in the back seat on a mini rod trip to go visit my sister after Christmas. Hi Mom. Shot with a Canon 7D with a Zeiss 35mm f2. I like the background colors...
Day 58 – Snow
Day #58 – Snow flurries falling, settling on bushes, roofs, swirling into drifts, and lining window sills. People complain about winter, I’m not one of them. I love it. ISO 400, 35mm, f2, 1/500th shutter. This is a bark on trees shot.
Day 57 – It’s Optimus Prime –I swear!
I took a photo of my nephew for #54. It was a moment of quiet reflection, but today’s is a photo of him doing the complete opposite. This strange one told me that he was 100% certain that he is Optimus Prime from the Transformers universe.
I didn’t realize Optimus was so short.
Day 56 – Ooooh, brother….
This is my brother. He, among my other older brothers, is one of the many reasons that have my own quirky weirdness.
Day 55 – the gift of table
There’s nothing better during Christmas time than to sit around a table, munching away at what’s left of dinner, for hours just talking –nothing.
Day 57 – Happiness is a Warm Gun
Day #57 – The Beatles’ White Album is easily my favorite of their work.
I hated the Beatles for the longest time. While many people come to love and appreciate the music they were raised on – the Beatles always bothered me and I could not appreciate their sound. Then I grew up. Loved someone, hurt...
Day 56 – Brownie, your still a puppy to me.
Day #56 – Brownie is my family’s long haired Dachshund. I picked him out from a pet store as a puppy over 15 years ago. Fifteen is long life for a wiener dog. While he’s now grey in the face, blind, and mostly deaf – he is still one of the most unique animals I’ve...
Day 54 – Here’s to looking at you, kid.
It’s great to be back in my hometown of San Jose, California. It’s a completely different world from my 110 octane world. Wholesome is the word that best describes this city.
This is my nephew. He’s a strange one. He might even be missing a few nuts and bolts. It’s rare to find this little...
Day 55 – Mom 2
Day #55 – Spent the last few days with my Mom and Dad. The last two images are great representations of my parent’s personalities. Glad I was able to spend the holidays with them.
Day 54 – Pops 2
Day #54 – My family is becoming accustomed to me photographing them. Which has allowed to get the more natural images that are better representative of their personalities. Not what someone is trying to present when they realize that they are being photographed.
Here is a quiet moment with my dad as he enjoys a cup...
Day 53 – Sister
Day #53 – Continuing in my mini series of family photos, here is my sister Lindy and my dad. Lindy came up from Columbus to celebrate the holidays with us. She has been very busy with her job as a nurse since graduating as a RN in the spring. Hi Fish Dog.
Day 52 – Grandma
Day #52 – Part of the Roegge family Christmas tradition is visiting my Mom’s side of the family in Pittsburgh. My Grandma McDowell hid behind her hands for a few photos, but I was finally able to get this shot. Grandma has a big birthday coming up in 2010 and it is always nice to...
