Day #183 – Jacob Chill’s 2 of 4. Jacob’s grandfather was a California based race team owner who coined the phrase “Sprint Car” back in the day. Their racing heritage continues today to MMI – Motorsports Management International. I was introduced to Jacob through the drivers that MMI represents within the Formula Drift series: Vaughn Gittin JR, Ryan Tuerck, and Chris Forsberg. It was not until after meeting Jacob that I attended a NASCAR race or really learned much about NASCAR racing. Thanks to Joey Redmond who brought me up to speed on a cross country drive. Learning about Sprint Car racing was fascinating – its immensely popular and the back stories to the series are what makes it incredible to watch. Its a huge machine of marketing and an impressive show.
Back to Jacob’s pad and this mini series – these large prints were done on wood in black and white. They were one of the first items that I noticed upon entering Jacob’s place for the first time.
Cool pieces of family history, no?
