William of the Roegge always maintains that he’d get up early to get a good start on the day but somehow doesn’t quite go through. Maybe its the peanut butter that is slowing down the brain’s synapses or peanut butter has completely replaced the brain itself!

Sadly, those questions will never be answered. Well… unless there’s a PB shortage and WR is the last known source….

There aren’t any excuses that can make my absence from this site acceptable because, well, it really is unacceptable. I’ve creatively alienated myself from the exact reason why this site got started and most importantly, I’ve alienated all of you that have supported me so much.

Prepare for an ARTPANTS photo dump –I’ve got quite a ways to catch up.

Day 125 – 50mm Theme 1 of 7

I find the 50mm lens on my camera body more so than my wider or even my longer lenses. The focal length just works in a lot more situations than a much wider lens. A 50mm is like the little bear’s porridge and bed: its not too wide, its not too long, but its juuuust right. Also add the fact that the 50mm is my fastest lens and you have a sure-fire reason why that sucker is always on the camera body.

This upcoming week will officially be our second official theme week. Will and I will be shooting photos for ARTPANTS only with our respective 50mm lenses. The choice of aperture to the users discretion but knowing the both of us, we tend to land in the more wide-open territory….

This should definitely be an interesting and challenging week.
