Art Pants is a 365 day-long-daily-photography-challenge, featuring Will Roegge and Linhbergh Nguyen which was started on November 1st, 2009. Our goal is to each publish one photograph a day for an entire year. But different from usual "photo 365s" out there, we've set ourselves a rules to abide by throughout the year:
1. No photos of anything automobile related
2. No self portraits.
Both of those rules are there to prevent us from going the easy route on taking our daily photos, or in other words, to use a crutch. The purpose of this project is to make the both of us think outside of our usual subjects and expand our creative defaults. The harder we make it upon ourselves, the better off we'll be creatively (or so we hope so!) come Novemeber 1st 2010.
We'll also be having different 'theme weeks' throughout the year. These themes could range from different subject matters; places, portraits, grass, sunrises, landscapes, faces, etc, etc. Or it could even be a technical theme; biggest aperature, smallest aperature, slow shutter speeds, 35mm film, camera phone fast action, etc....
We would love to hear your input throughout the course of the year. If you have ANY ideas for theme weeks or shots you'd like to see, let us know!
Oh, we both love black coffee and we both love Art Pants.

Day #178 – Monsters of Folk. The Right Place. Downtown Atlanta is filled with fairy tales and nightmare for me. Quite the contrast and contradiction. Similar to the lyrics in the Monsters of Folk song – The Right Place. The clouds in Atlanta are like fairy tales, but just like the weather – they change....
Day #174 – Magic Hour. Light posts. Magic Light. Three of three images in a mini-thematic sequence – all about trees and light. ARTPANTS Day #174 – Like this photo! NEVERMIND!
Day #173 – Trees and light. The textures in this image made it work for my taste. I also like the asymmetrical composition and right heavy contrast in the frame. Plus this tree is gigantic and I almost want to chop it down and build a log cabin with it. Two of three images in...
Day #170 – My head is always in the clouds when visiting Atlanta, Georgia. ARTPANTS Like this photo! NEVERMIND!

Day #86 – Low clouds in Park City. Park City Mountain Resort is visible in the distance. Peaks hidden by the clouds. 1 person likes post. NEVERMIND!
This past week, the greater Southern California area has experienced a rare and strange natural phenomenon that makes the streets shiny. Apparently, it has something to do with this gray substance that has blanketed the sky these past few days. Citizens of the Los Angeles area have panicked. Some been so emotionally distraught that they...
As I travel more I find myself falling in love with the various cloud forms that fly by my window at 30,000 feet. Some clouds are wispy little guys that are barely hold onto their existence while others are like the calvary charging into the Battle of Waterloo –complete awe inspiring and epic. Can I...
Day #75 – Right now, as I type, I’m in Dubai for the Dubai 24H race. The race is about 5 hours in and Team Need for Speed is currently in 5th place. This sunset was from last night – taken from pit row. Excited to explore Dubai tomorrow – if I’m able to wake...
Day #73 – LAX clouds. Days when Los Angeles has magnificent clouds are few – doing it proper and capturing them on a Tuesday. Prime LA Clouds. 1 person likes post. NEVERMIND!
Day #71 – Fitting that both Linh and I were shooting clouds. Heads in the clouds. Los Angeles doesn’t always have the best clouds, but this sunset impressed me with its blazing reds. Plus it lasted for a long time. The duration of the sunset made the drive back from the mountains better. Like this...
