Day # 141 – All of these cement mixers and concrete yard looked too still under the brilliant sunset.

Day #140 – If you look closely in the bottom left of this image – you can spot some snow in the mountain range outside of Las Vegas. Nice for April, beautiful clouds, cool temperatures, and sunsets like this one. Excited to be on the road for the next five months – ARTPANTS will benefit from the change of scenery.

Now if I would only stop liking composition like this one: 1 part earth/10 parts sky. This ratio is like a spaghetti western composition. Flat along a mountain range with the sky taking up  majority of the frame.

Do you have a way that you are naturally inclined to frame a landscape? Is there a natural way to frame anything or is it all developed?

Day #139 – This sunset continued for longer than I remember most sunsets requiring to dissipate. The foreground elements in this specific shot caught my attention and flooded my CF card with shots as we rolled by the scene. Thanks to Joshua Hobo Herron for driving so I could snap away.

Day #136 – Living next to a oil refinery does have some benefits. There are always tanker ships in the bay, albeit leaking crude into the bay. Tanker ships are nice when the light is fading into the horizon where the ocean meets the sky – I’ll be sailing.

Day #80 – Its been two days since I’ve been back from my Dubai trip. Which means that I was finally able to review some of my stills and footage. The reflection and sun in the Burj tower made for nice silhouettes. Cropped down to cinematic aspect – aka Linh-o-vision. I cropped down the image to avoid the warping effects of the wide angle lens.

Day #75 – Right now, as I type, I’m in Dubai for the Dubai 24H race. The race is about 5 hours in and Team Need for Speed is currently in 5th place. This sunset was from last night – taken from pit row. Excited to explore Dubai tomorrow – if I’m able to wake up. Yes, I have posted nothing but photos of clouds and sunsets lately.
